A few days ago, a horrific fire broke out on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway due to a collision between two trucks, resulting in many casualties. Let’s understand how the fire started. On Friday morning, at around 5-6 AM, a gas tanker was taking a U-turn on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway when a truck coming from the opposite direction collided with the gas tanker. This collision caused the gas tanker to explode. In this tragic incident, over 40 vehicles, including two cars, two bikes, and other trucks, were engulfed in flames.
The accident claimed 14 lives, and several others suffered burns. One mistake took many lives. Passengers broke the bus windows to escape. A survivor, who was traveling on the burnt bus with his friend to Jaipur, shared that the bus door was locked, so they broke the glass windows to get out. Those who couldn’t escape were consumed by the flames.
Thick white smoke covered the area, leaving some people with no time to flee. An auto driver abandoned his auto to save his life. The fire spread rapidly, with flames igniting nearby gas within moments, reaching an area of up to 1.5 kilometers. Many people suffered burns without even getting a chance to escape.
In just 3 minutes and 23 seconds, many lives were destroyed. In those brief moments, everything was reduced to ashes. In this tragedy, some lost their fathers, while others lost their sons.
The explosion was so intense that the sound could be heard up to 10 kilometers away. Due to the smell of gas, people began experiencing difficulty breathing. The fire was so devastating that it was impossible to identify some of the victims who had been burned.
